ESPACE 628 HB R
ESPACE 628 HB R SEAT
The Kotobuki Seating Group introduced the ESPACE 628 in 1956 as its first seat designed for telescopic platforms. Chief engineer Minoru Fujisawa conceived the model and integrated an innovative gravity-folding system to minimize space usage.
When folded, the seat occupies just 14.5 cm. As a result, aisles remain wide and movement between rows stays easy. Despite its compact size, the ESPACE 628 HB R delivers strong comfort through ergonomic shaping and carefully selected materials.
The ESPACE 628 HB R version enjoys a backrest that is 7.5 cm taller, for increased comfort. This places the height of the open seat at 92 cm, compared to 84.5 cm for the standard version.
FLEXIBLE APPLICATIONS
The minimal dimensions allow installation in both fixed venues and multi-purpose halls where seating must be cleared quickly. The ESPACE 628 supports multiple systems:
- Telescopic platforms: Feet adapt to folding systems integrated into the platforms.
- MATRIX system: Self-supporting feet with transport and storage trolleys enable fast setup and removal.
- K-Roll system: Benches with retractable wheels allow 360-degree movement.
- KUF drawers: Fully automated drawers store the folded seats beneath the floor.
Across all configurations, the seat accommodates a wide anti-panic lectern. It is available in benches of two, three, four, or five seats, with support options tailored to each installation system.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
The ESPACE 628 HB R supports upholstery woven from recycled PET polyester yarns. Every component can be recycled independently, helping reduce environmental impact and support a closed materials lifecycle.
