ICONIC SPEED, ICONIC SEATING

One of the oldest and most demanding tracks in NASCAR, Darlington Raceway sits at the heart of Darlington, South Carolina, with a legacy built on speed, skill, and unforgettable moments. For more than 75 years, this 1.366-mile oval has challenged the sport’s best drivers and thrilled generations of fans. Known as the “Track Too Tough to Tame,” Darlington continues to draw thousands of spectators each season in search of high-speed excitement.

SEATING AN ICONIC NASCAR VENUE

As a cornerstone of the NASCAR circuit, Darlington Raceway welcomes tens of thousands of visitors every year. Therefore, when it came time to renovate the historic Pearson Tower, the venue partnered with Kotobuki Seating. The project required 14,000 seats capable of withstanding intense summer heat, outdoor exposure, and enthusiastic crowds. As a result, durability, versatility, and visual impact became essential requirements.

VISION FIXED CHAIR: PERFORMANCE MEETS COMFORT

Darlington selected the VISION Fixed Chair from Interkal to outfit the grandstands. This high-performance seat combines structural strength with exceptional comfort, ensuring a premium spectator experience at every event. Blow-molded plastic components and cast aluminum brackets provide long-term resistance to weather and wear, making the chair ideal for outdoor installations.

A BOLD, PATRIOTIC DESIGN

To enhance the visual identity of the stands, Darlington chose a multi-color layout featuring red, blue, white, and black seating. This bold palette creates a striking visual rhythm while reinforcing the patriotic spirit of the raceway. In addition, cup holders mounted to the seat backs and integrated armrests further elevate fan comfort.

A NEW ERA FOR A HISTORIC TRACK

With its upgraded seating, Darlington Raceway enters a new chapter while honoring its storied past. The installation delivers long-lasting performance, visual impact, and superior comfort. No matter how intense the racing becomes, fans can count on seating that matches the strength and legacy of the Track Too Tough to Tame.
